HYTAC-C castable syntactic offers an alternative to machining plug designs.  This product is available as a uncured, single component mixture that may be poured or cast into a  wide variety of shapes and sizes.  Any cavity capable of maintaining 160 – 200° F may be used.  Most common are plastic parts, aluminum, REN or even wooden molds.

HYTAC-C requires no mixing or measuring for use.  Following the prescribed oven cure cycle results in a plug that exhibits the similar properties to those found in HYTAC-W. 

Since HYTAC-C is cast into the shaped mold, there is minimal yield loss when compared to machining of sheets or rods.   While HYTAC-C is the only material suitable for casting at a customer location, CMT Materials is able to utilize special equipment to provide custom casting of a variety of syntactic foam materials to meet every application need.
