HYTAC-W paved the way in the syntactic foam plug assist market and even today continues to be the most common entry level product used in thermoform tooling. It is typically used to replace aluminum, wood, felt or acetal plug assist materials due to the performance benefits provided.
HYTAC-W may be used on a wide variety of sheet-fed, rotary or in-line machines. This grade of HYTAC material is primarily used with PVC, PS or PE.
With a 350°F (176°C) service temperature, HYTAC-W also provides reliable performance and immediate availability as a drop-in replacement for SYNTAC® or SYNFORM epoxy syntactics.
